Except for last year, my vision has improved every year since I began working with you back in '96. I expected today's checkup to be another exception (after a year of much stress and little conscious eye work), but a 20-30 prescription last January is 20-20 today! I'm beyond thrilled!!

NATURAL VISION IMPROVEMENT

Natural Vision Improvement is a holistic (sometimes spelled 'wholistic') approach to vision care.

Vision occurs mainly in the brain. Our eyes receive information in the form of light, and the brain processes the information to make meaning of it, creating our "visual world". The process of improving our eyesight not only enables us to see more clearly, but also helps bring us into greater balance and harmony with ourselves and our surroundings.

Many people begin Natural Vision Improvement to see more clearly. They are often surprised when they can perform better in sports, more easily understand what they read, and become more relaxed and creative. Each person's process is unique, and each benefits in different ways.

The work is rooted in The Bates Method, developed by Dr W. H. Bates in the 1920s.

Vision Educators are those who teach others how to improve their eyesight. In private lessons, group classes and workshops, they teach activities and key habits to help with:

  • Nearsightedness (myopia)
  • Farsightedness (hyperopia or hypermetropia)
  • Presbyopia ('middle-age sight')
  • Astigmatism
  • Eye fatigue and discomfort
  • Discomfort in bright light (photosensitivity and photophobia)
  • Vision related headaches
  • Computer eye strain (CSS)
  • Eye teaming difficulties, strabismus and amblyopia
  • Eye Diseases (for people with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration etc, who are under the care of an ophthalmologist.)

  • Increased clarity of sight in the distance
